Flexible Work Hours
In many of our locations, a flexibly work schedule is available to PPG employees as an alternative to a traditional 8 to 5 work day. This schedule allows you to vary your arrival and/or departure time to fit with your busy life outside of work.
Telework, telecommuting, or just "working from home", is a situation in which employees work from an alternative location. It is an option within our work/life balance portfolio that provides employees with more flexibility, adds balance to work and life, reduces parking woes, and helps with traffic congestion and emissions!
Employee Assistance Programs
From time to time everyone needs help in dealing with difficult personal or work-related issues. That is why PPG offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The EAP is a confidential program that provides problem clarification, counseling, and referral services for various personal concerns, both big and small.
Several PPG work locations have on-site fitness centers. These centers provide employees an opportunity to receive instruction from certified health, fitness, and wellness professionals. Many other PPG locations offer employee discounts to local gyms/fitness clubs.

At PPG we have a long history of supporting volunteerism to improve the quality of life in our local communities. Whether it’s cleaning up a park, providing tutoring help to local students, or painting the walls of a community center, we believe that by sharing our time and talent we can make a difference.
And, we believe that when you work hard, you should also play hard. We provide occasions for our employees to get together for social events outside of their normal work environment. Many of our locations offer opportunities for employees to network through intramural sports events and special interest group meetings.
