Employee Benefits

Our full-time employees enjoy a competitive benefits package, including:

 

Medical

You and your eligible dependents will have access to high quality health care at a reasonable cost.  Our health care options include a PPO Plan (Preferred Provider Organization), two Aetna HealthFund Plans, and HMO Plan (Health Maintenance Organization) in certain areas.  All health care plans include prescription drug coverage.

Dental

You and your eligible dependents can enroll for dental coverage through Metlife’s Preferred Dentist Program (PDP).

Vision

You will automatically be enrolled in the Davis Vision Affinity Discount Program. This is a non-contributory discount vision program, which means there is no cost to you.  The program provides vision care value by extending discounts on eye exams, eyeglasses, and contact lenses. The discounted fixed fee schedule allows you to know the cost of professional fees and materials in advance.

Retirement Savings Plan

The Retirement Savings Plan allows you to save systematically to supplement your retirement income and gives you the opportunity to become an owner of PPG by acquiring a stock interest. Participation in the plan is voluntary.You can elect to contribute from 1% to 50% of your eligible plan compensation. Your contributions can be made on a before-tax, after-tax, a Roth 401(k) after-tax basis (sometimes referred to as Roth elective deferrals), or on a combined basis, through automatic payroll deductions.

Benefit Account

The Benefit Account is a flexible spending account designed to help you offset your out-of-pocket expenses. There are two types of Benefit Account reimbursement accounts:

  • Health Care Account - for reimbursement of out-of-pocket medical, prescription drug, over-the-counter medicine and drugs, and dental expenses for you and your dependents as permitted by the IRS.
  • Dependent Care Account - for reimbursement of out-of-pocket child day care or elder care expenses as permitted by the IRS for your dependents. (Dependent Care is not health care for your dependents.)

Life and AD&D Insurance

PPG provides basic Life and AD&D (Accidental Death and Dismemberment) coverage to you at no cost as part of your overall benefits package.  Additional Life and AD&D insurance can be purchased at a reasonable cost.

Education Assistance

PPG gives you the opportunity to further your education on personal time through the Employee Education Assistance Program (EEAP).If you meet the eligibility criteria, PPG will pay 90% of eligible costs for tuition and required textbooks at an accredited learning institution.

Adoption Assistance

PPG’s Adoption Assistance Program can help you with the cost of adopting a child by reimbursing up to $2,000 of your eligible expenses.As long as the child is under the age of 18, you can receive this benefit. You can also use this benefit if the child is related to you by blood or marriage, such as a stepchild or grandchild.

Vacation and Holidays

PPG offers you paid time off to enjoy vacations and designated holidays.
