How do I search and apply for a job?
Just follow these simple steps:
- Click on “Start Your Job Search.”
- This search engine will include all vacant positions across PPG. If you are specifically interested in opportunities within PPG Architectural Coatings, select "Architectural Coatings N.A." from the drop down menu under "Organization" to view all our current vacancies.
- Specify any other job search criteria, and then click "Search for Jobs.”
- Apply for any of the jobs listed that match your criteria by clicking “Apply.”
- If you are visiting our site for the first time, click on “New User” and follow the instructions to create a Candidate Profile.
- After creating a profile, just follow the step-by-step instructions on our site to finish applying for a job.

What if none of the jobs currently open fit my current needs or skill set?
Creating a candidate profile allows you to receive email notifications when a job opens that matches your current needs or skill set.
To receive email notifications, select the checkbox “Send an email notification whenever a new position matching this profile is posted,” when creating your profile.
If you have already created a profile and would like to start receiving email notifications, click on “My Account Options.” In the Correspondence section, select “Edit” and check the box next to “Send me an email notification whenever a new position matching my profile is posted (job posting notification).”

I already gave the hiring manager my resume. Do I really need to complete the online application? When will I be contacted?
If you want to be considered for career opportunities at PPG Architectural Coatings, you must apply online.
Even if you’ve already met the hiring manager and passed on your resume, you will not be considered for any job opportunities unless you apply online.

When will I be contacted?
After you apply for a job, your application is forwarded to the proper person for review. We review all applications and contact candidates whose background and experience most closely fit the needs of the position.

Will anyone let me know if I didn’t get the job after my face-to-face interview?
If you recently completed an in-person interview with one of our hiring managers, we’ll let you know the outcome of the interview as soon as possible.

What browser and operating system is needed to search for jobs and submit my résumé?
If you have Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 7, or the latest version of Firefox, you’ll be able to search for jobs and submit your resume using our system.
Our jobs system supports Windows 2000, XP, and Vista, as well as current and legacy Macintosh operating systems.
