2009 PPG Vibrance Collection® show truck schedule announced
STRONGSVILLE, Ohio – February 4, 2009 – PPG has announced the 2009 appearance schedule for its Vibrance Collection® show truck. The truck, a 75-foot 2007 Freightliner Coronado tractor-trailer rig, custom-painted in crowd-pleasing PPG Vibrance Collection colors, will make 21 stops at truck, car and hot rod shows and events in its March to November tour. PPG driver Chad Hook will be at the wheel guiding the truck to its cross-country appearances.
The schedule includes stops at long-time favorite events such as the 33rd Western Street Rod National in Bakersfield, California and the 40th Annual Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky along with relatively new attractions like the 3rd Peak Chicagoland Nationals in Joliet, Illinois and the 4th Nashville Nationals in Nashville, Tennessee.
Larry Wood, chief designer for Hot Wheels®, a Mattel, Inc. brand, created the truck’s stunning graphics. An 18-person crew from PPG’s Refinish Training, Product Marketing and Color Technical teams painted Wood’s design on to the truck.
