PPG Featured Electrocoat Products for Military Applications:

POWERCRON 6100
This gray electrocoat finish is approved to military specification MIL-P-53084 for use on military parts. This product was formulated to meet military requirements by offering a unique combination of properties: excellent corrosion resistance, edge coverage, protective throwpower, heavy metal-free, HAPs-free, and low VOC.

POWERCRON 6000CX
This black electrocoat finish is not “officially” approved to military specifications, but it is often used to coat military vehicles and parts by using the Commercial Item Description (CID AA-52474) or by military program manager approval. This product has the same performance qualities as POWERCRON 6100 gray electrocoat.
