Famed custom painter Charley Hutton to appear with PPG at NSRA Nationals

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio – July 29, 2009 – Charley Hutton, one of the most popular street rod painters in America, will be signing autographs at the PPG Vibrance Collection® Show Truck display during the 40th annual NSRA Street Rod Nationals August 6 – 9, at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY.

Hutton is well-known in the custom car world and has captured a number of prestigious honors for his work on high-end street rods. His trophy case includes two Ridler Awards, several Street Rod of the Year and Custom Rod of the Year awards along with an America’s Most Beautiful Roadster award. He has also attained television fame through the Discovery Channel’s American Hot Rod show working with legendary custom car builder, the late Boyd Coddington, on Hot Rod TV and The Learning Channel’s Overhaulin’. Hutton began painting cars at 13, completed his first custom car at 15 and by age 20 had opened his own business. He recently opened a new shop, Charley Hutton’s Color Studio in Nampa, Idaho, where he uses PPG Automotive Refinish products exclusively.

Hutton will appear at the PPG Vibrance Collection Show Truck exhibit and sign autographs on:

  • Thursday, August 6, 10:00–11:00 am, 2:00–3:00 pm
  • Friday, August 7, 10:00–11:00 am, 2:00–3:00 pm
  • Saturday, August 8, 9:00–10:00 am, 1:00–2:00 pm, 5:00–6:00 pm
  • Sunday, August 9, 11:00 am–12:00 pm
