PPG's Spring MVP Conference Will Look "Beyond Tomorrow" to Help Collision Centers Plan for Success
STRONGSVILLE, Ohio – January 12, 2010 – PPG will host an MVP Business Solutions Conference for collision center owners and managers at the Paradise Point Hotel in San Diego, CA, March 28 – 30. Centering on the theme “Beyond Tomorrow,” the conference agenda will focus on helping attendees shape their collision center’s business plan to deal effectively with today’s business realities while leveraging tomorrow’s opportunities.
“This MVP conference will be truly unique,” said Jim Berkey, director, PPG Business Solutions. “An important focus will be how to bring out the best from the employees that comprise the typical collision repair business. The fact that four distinct generations are now working side by side in the workplace—with each possessing differing values and seemingly incompatible views on leadership—makes effective management of this generational divide vital to a collision center’s success. So to that end, Cam Marston, one of the leading experts in the field, will be our keynote speaker.”
Marston, founder and president of Generational Insight, works with Fortune 500 companies and small businesses to improve multigenerational relations and communications in the workplace. He has appeared in the Chicago Tribune, HR Management Today, Money Magazine, Fortune Small Business, and numerous trade and business journals across the country. He is also the author of the book Motivating the "What's In It For Me" Workforce: Managing Across the Generational Divide.
Along with Marston’s critical presentation, the 3-day conference will offer management training, breakout seminars and peer-to-peer discussion groups.
“The substance of this conference has been planned to make a positive difference for every attendee,” added Norm Angrove, senior manager, PPG Value Added Programs. “We’ll be addressing a host of critical issues —leadership, communications, best practices—in practical, relevant ways that allow our customers to reach the next level of success.”
Attendance at the conference is open exclusively to owners and managers of collision centers using PPG Refinish products. Online registration began on January 11. To register or to obtain more information about the event and MVP Business Solutions offerings, visit www.ppgmvp.com.
