Renowned Painter Charley Hutton Joins PPG for Goodguys Del Mar

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio – March 25, 2010 – Famed street rod painter Charley Hutton will sign autographs at the PPG Show Truck display and take part in a PPG seminar during the Goodguys 10th annual Del Mar Nationals. The three-day event, to be held April 9 – 11, at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in Del Mar, California, displays an array of show-stopping custom cars and street rods.

The easy-going Hutton is one of the most popular painters in the custom car world. His design schemes for high-end street rods have earned him numerous accolades including two celebrated Ridler Awards, several Street Rod of the Year and Custom Rod of the Year awards, and an America’s Most Beautiful Roadster award. Hutton has also made a splash on television. He first appeared with legendary custom car builder, the late Boyd Coddington, on the Discovery Channel’s American Hot Rod show. Soon after, Hutton was a featured painter on Hot Rod TV and The Learning Channel’s Overhaulin’. He recently opened the Charley Hutton Color Studio in Nampa, Idaho, where he uses PPG Automotive Refinish products exclusively.

  • Saturday, April 10, 9:00 – 10:00 am and 2:30 – 3:30 pm
  • Sunday, April 11, 9:00 – 10:00 am and 1:00 – 2:00 pm

He will also participate in a PPG presentation as part of the Goodguys Hot Rod Seminar in the Mission Tower on Saturday, April 10 from 11:15 am to 12:00 pm.
