Audi approves PPG as one authorized supplier for collision repair
Audi of America has recently announced the rollout of their new Audi Authorized Collision Repair Facility Program. This program is voluntary and is designed to reach the goal of each Audi dealer in the US and Canada having the availability of at least one Audi authorized facility performing all collision repairs. This program does not include the Audi A8 model which is repaired within a separate network of authorized aluminum structure repair facilities.
DuPont Performance Coatings (DPC) has been selected to assist in the implementation of the requirements for the programs established by Audi of America enabling each shop to become authorized.
Audi of America requires the authorized collision repair facilities to use an Audi/Volkswagen AG worldwide approved paint supplier. All paint suppliers must provide limited lifetime warranty on paint products used for Audi warranty paint collision repairs. Although it is not a requirement, Audi of America prefers the use DuPont Performance Coatings refinish products.
As of August 2006, the following paint suppliers are approved by Audi/Volkswagen, AG.
