Diversity Leadership Council 


Mission: The Diversity Leadership Council champions, directs and engages initiatives that drive PPG’s commitment to fostering a climate that recognizes the business value of an engaged, globally diverse work force.

The Diversity Leadership Council (DLC) is committed to PPG’s longstanding diversity policies and practices, and the corporate global diversity commitment.

The DLC has outlined PPG’s significant elements of a successful diversity process and action plans to support them:
• Leadership
• Accountability
• Recruitment
• Engagement
• Development/Succession Planning
• Communications

These elements were developed based on the business challenges and opportunities currently facing PPG -- changing work-force demographics, the war for talent, global customers, employee engagement and business performance improvement.

PPG and the DLC recognize that in competitive global markets, employees make the difference between an ordinary company and an excellent one. Employees come to PPG with different backgrounds, experiences, education levels, ages, countries of origin, races and genders. They have different styles, talents, attitudes, values and skills. Valuing these differences can result in greater creativity, better insights and improved decision-making—all vital to success in a competitive marketplace.
