Members of PPG’s Financial Leadership Development (FLD) program get to explore the variety of opportunities within a global, diversified manufacturing corporation right from their first assignments, with no mandated training rotations and no dictated career paths. 

Participants generally hold first FLD new hire assignments for two years in PPG’s manufacturing facilities or at its Pittsburgh, PA headquarters.  An early position could also include a role as cost accountant, general accountant or internal auditor.  Relocation within the first 24 months is likely. 

Relocation may occur frequently, particularly early in the career, with an ultimate goal of a senior leadership position in the finance organization.

Subsequent positions enable career diversification and advancement based on interests and available opportunities in our various businesses, controllership organizations, treasury, tax and internal auditing.
