Basic Guidelines

Color - Logo on a Light or Dark Field

Light Field
On a light field, the PPG corporate logo can be reproduced in black or  PPG Blue as shown on the left. PPG Blue (or Pantone® 307) is the preferred color. The letters “PPG” must be the same color as the field, or background and never another color.

Dark Field
On a dark field, the PPG corporate logo may appear in white or PPG Blue, as shown on the left. The letters “PPG” must be the same color as the field, or background and never another color.

When using PPG Blue, sufficient contrast between the corporate logo and the background must be maintained.

Please Note:

PPG Blue
For print media, PPG Blue is created using Pantone® 307 from the PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM®. PPG Blue is a match color. When the logo appears on an item that is being printed in four-color process, the corporate logo may be reproduced in the CMYK version of PPG Blue.

For non-print media (such as television or electronic presentations), use the RGB version of PPG Blue.

Alternate Solid Colors
The preferred alternate colors for the corporate logo are black on a white field or other light-colored field. When the preferred colors are not available, other colors may be used as long as sufficient contrast between the corporate logo and the background is maintained. Weak, garish or disturbing colors are not acceptable. If you are printing in a single color, the logo can appear in that color.

The PPG corporate logo is a registered trademark. To protect the corporation’s proprietary rights, the logo may appear only in its approved form. If you have questions, please contact globalidentity@ppg.com
