PPG Solar Control Low-E Glass

By nature, low-emissivity (low-e) glass is spectrally selective, meaning long and short wave radiation from the sun (ultraviolet and infrared radiation) are reduced while visible light is still allowed to transmit through the glass. Solar control low-e glass allows you to specify larger spans of glass to maximize natural daylighting without sacrificing thermal efficiency.

PPG offers a variety of solar control low-e glass products to limit the amount of infrared radiation allowed to pass while minimizing the effect of outdoor temperatures on the building’s interior climate by reducing the amount of heat transferred through the glass.
