PPG’s STEM Support Statement
PPG’s strategy for support of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) initiatives is defined by the emerging macro-trends (i.e. energy, environmental, consumer, security, new materials) which predicate our core markets, product offerings, and technology needs. Consequently, PPG will judiciously support STEM programs which align with our Strategic Business Units and their respective technology needs and evolving product offerings. Realizing a finite resource pool, PPG supports STEM initiatives for non-profit and governmental organizations reflecting our global footprint, emphasizing diversity and under-represented populations, focusing on programmatic initiatives in preference to capital requests or promotional opportunities, and tiered relative to type of support and eligibility at the local, state, regional, national, and global levels.
The STEM Support Matrix highlights these protocols for submitting STEM solicitations.
