Feature Highlight:
PPG Industries was recently awarded $2.3 million from the U.S. Department of Energy to develop a low-cost integrated glass substrate for commercial organic light-emitting diode (OLED) lighting. OLED lights have the potential to emit four times as much light per watt as incandescent bulbs, and widespread commercial use of this technology could significantly reduce energy use in homes, buildings and workplaces.
