PPG Directors Set Dividend

PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 20, 2005--The board of directors of PPG Industries (NYSE:PPG) today declared a regular quarterly dividend of 47 cents a share, payable Dec. 12 to shareholders of record Nov. 10.

PPG has increased shareholder payments for 34 consecutive years, paying uninterrupted dividends since 1899.
