TRACO honored by PPG

Company earns two PPG Certified Fabricator Program awards

PITTSBURGH, May 21, 2007 – TRACO, Cranberry Township, Pa., received two Certified Fabricator Program awards today from the performance glazings business of PPG Industries (NYSE:PPG).

TRACO was named an Outstanding Member of the PPG Certified Commercial Window Fabricator (CCWF) program. The award was given in recognition of TRACO’s ability to sell more than 1 million square feet of Solarban solar control low-emissivity glass by PPG in 2006.

The company also earned a Pinnacle Award from PPG for achieving the largest percentage-based increase in Solarban glass sales during the 2005-2006 calendar years.

Robin S. Randall, vice president of marketing, accepted the awards during a ceremony at TRACO’s headquarters about 20 miles north of Pittsburgh.

“We are very pleased and honored to earn this recognition from PPG,” she said. “We take enormous pride in our partnership and look forward to many prosperous years together.”

Robert P. Randall, president and chief executive officer of TRACO, reiterated the importance of his company’s long-standing relationship with PPG.

“Although we were an original member of the Certified Commercial Window Fabricator program when it began just three years ago, our relationship with PPG stretches back many years,” he explained. “We look forward to maintaining the long and rewarding partnership that has been so beneficial to both of our firms.”

Robin Randall echoed those sentiments. “Innovation and the ability to provide our customers with the very latest in window technology is one of the hallmarks of TRACO,” she said. “PPG, and its Solarban products in particular, have played an integral role in helping us maintain that position of industry leadership.”

As part of the PPG Certified Commercial Window Fabricator program, TRACO is one of a select group of window makers nationwide trained and audited by PPG to provide the highest levels of product quality and customer service. Architects and builders who partner with CCWF members such as TRACO can take advantage of special benefits, including priority access to proprietary PPG products, reduced lead times and rapid delivery of on-site replacement glass.

TRACO is a family-owned company founded in 1943 by Mae and E.R. Randall. Robert, Robin, Brett, Chris and Adam Randall are the second and third generations carrying on the fenestration legacy.

PPG is the largest flat glass manufacturer in North America and supplies glass for commercial and residential construction markets, industrial and specialty uses, and automotive, aircraft and other transportation applications.
