The PPG Industries Foundation has contributed $5,000 to Delaware Technical and Community College, Terry Campus, to support general classroom enhancements.

"We are very pleased to receive support from PPG for this program," said Dan Simpson, vice president and campus director, Delaware Technical and Community College. "Through PPG’s generous donation, we will install Smart Learning Systems in many of our classrooms that will enhance the teaching experience and improve the effectiveness of the learning process."

Delaware Technical and Community College serves a diverse student body from recent high school graduates to more experienced adults. The Smart Learning Systems will provide the most up-to-date technology and an advanced learning experience to students. Ultimately, the equipment will help ensure that when students graduate, they will be prepared to start their careers with the technological sophistication that Delaware employers require.

“PPG is strongly committed to supporting the communities where its employees work and live,” said Mitch Magee, plant manager for PPG’s architectural coatings facility in Dover. “We are proud to support Delaware Technical and Community College in its efforts to train and develop local professionals. PPG employs many Delaware Tech graduates who have contributed to our success as a company and as a local employer.”

Established in 1951, the PPG Industries Foundation demonstrates the values of PPG Industries by enhancing the quality of life in communities where the company has a presence. Interests of the foundation, in order of priority, are education, human services, culture and arts, and civic and community affairs.
