Ryerson Building Products joins PPG certified metal panel program

Company is newest member of certification program

PITTSBURGH, Feb. 4, 2010 – PPG Industries (NYSE:PPG) announced that Ryerson Building Products has joined its new PPG Certified Metal Panel Program (PPG/CMPP).

Administered by the PPG coil and extrusion coatings group, PPG/CMPP is a certification program that gives architects a direct channel to an elite group of metal panel manufacturers certified by PPG to apply high-performance Duranar, Duranar ULTRA-Cool and Coraflon fluoropolymer coatings to metal building components and/or to specify, design, fabricate and/or install aluminum components pre-painted with these coatings.

Wayne Polston, sales manager, painted products, Ryerson Building Products, said he was pleased to join PPG/CMPP because of the value it communicates to his customers and prospects. “Architects and specifiers have a high level of confidence working with PPG-certified suppliers,” he said. “When you combine the certification with Ryerson’s existing reputation for quality and service, it fortifies our position as a trusted resource for all their coated panel needs.”
