PPG sales manager Yarnell elected to NATM board

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio, Feb. 5, 2010 – Ron Yarnell, OEM sales manager for PPG Industries’ (NYSE:PPG) commercial coatings group, has been elected to a 2010-2013 term on the board of directors of the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers (NATM).

Election results were announced Jan. 21 by Michael Skoglund, NATM vice president and nominations committee chairman. Yarnell will officially begin his term at the board of directors meeting March 3, in Reno, Nev., held in conjunction with the NATM’s annual national convention.

Yarnell has worked for PPG for more than 25 years, and he has been an OEM sales manager with the PPG Commercial Coatings group for nine years. He is involved with marketing and sales development for the trailer, cryogenic, ground support equipment, and oil and gas mobile equipment industries. He is also active with the Truck Maintenance Council. Prior to his election to the NATM board, he served on the organization’s convention committee.

The NATM has been dedicated to improving trailer safety and performance for more than 20 years. The organization represents manufacturers that produce light- and medium-duty trailers that are towed behind vehicles. NATM members include more than 435 trailer manufacturers as well as a broad range of suppliers of products and services to the industry, such as PPG.
