STRONGSVILLE, Ohio, Oct. 24, 2011 – PPG Industries' (NYSE:PPG) automotive refinish business is teaming with Charley Hutton, Tom and Mitch Kelly, and Bobby Alloway – some of the best-known and most respected celebrities in the custom-car world – for the SEMA Show, Nov. 1-4 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. All are scheduled to sign autographs and discuss and answer questions about their painting techniques using PPG products in the PPG booth (24501). In addition, Hutton will conduct seminars giving show attendees an insider’s view of his approach to painting.

Charley Hutton has reaped two Ridler awards, several Street Rod of the Year and Custom Rod of the Year awards, and an America’s Most Beautiful Roadster award. He gained national recognition through the Discovery Channel’s American Hot Rod, TLC’s Overhaulin’, and on Hot Rod TV. His shop, Charley Hutton’s Color Studio in Nampa, Idaho, uses PPG Automotive Refinish products exclusively.

Tom and Mitch Kelly are behind Kelly & Son the Crazy Painters, a paint shop at the heart of the Southern California custom car world. Tom worked with legends Von Dutch and Ed “Big Daddy” Roth and is a gifted striper and muralist. Son Mitch has been painting for 34 years and creates fantastic paint schemes on show-worthy vehicles. Kelly & Son is responsible for the finish on a number of specialty, magazine and manufacturer builds including dragsters, custom cars and trucks, and motorcycles. Kelly & Son has a long-standing relationship with PPG using VIBRANCE COLLECTION(R) waterborne products to create unique color blends.

Bobby Alloway’s Hot Rod Shop in Louisville, Tenn., has produced timeless street rods since 1991 by forging muscle car attitude with hot rod craftsmanship. Alloway’s cars feature an aggressive edge attained through a combination of color (primarily black), stance and power. Alloway was named 2011 Autorama Builder of the Year at the Detroit Autorama – the latest in a series of accolades such as Goodguys’ Street Rod and Street Machine of the Year awards, a Ridler award and an America’s Most Beautiful Roadster award. He was inducted into the Rod & Custom Hall of Fame in 2004, and his paint preference is the DELTRON(R) brand by PPG.

Show visitors are invited to meet Hutton, the Kellys and Alloway in the PPG booth. For more information about PPG Automotive Refinish, call (800) 647-6050 or visit www.ppgrefinish.com.
