PPG hosts DURANAR coatings certified applicator conference in Shanghai
SHANGHAI, Nov. 22, 2011 – PPG Industries (NYSE:PPG) hosted a conference in Shanghai today for Chinese applicators it has certified to use DURANAR(R) fluorocarbon coatings. With the theme “True PPG, True Warranty, True Partner,” the conference welcomed industry experts from institutes, curtain wall and coatings companies, architectural designers and consultants.

During the conference, PPG recognized all the Chinese applicators that have earned certification to apply Duranar fluorocarbon coatings. Participants discussed topics such as how to distinguish PPG fluorocarbon coatings from competing coatings, how to guarantee project quality and how to select a reliable applicator. Also, Dr. Jiang Quan of the China Construction Material Certification Center informed participants about the national standard for fluorocarbon coatings detection.
Fluorocarbon coatings such as those available under the Duranar brand provide outstanding resistance to weathering, UV (ultraviolet) radiation, acid and humidity, making them ideal for use on structures in coastal areas They are well-suited for use on doors, window frames, curtain wall and in other architectural applications.
