The Value of Partnership

PPG Industries Foundation is pleased to celebrate its extraordinary partnership with the Pittsburgh Zoo.

Through a 10-year grant, PPG and the PPG Industries Foundation provide funding to help sustain the zoo. Today, it has become one of the best zoological parks in the world, one of very few with a world-class aqaurium, and one of the most popular family destinations in the Pittsburgh region. PPG products are utilized at the zoo, including Aquapel on the penguin and sea otter exhibits; Calhypo Acutabs keep the sea lions exhibit sparkling clean; PPG glass on the tiger encounter window; a PPG chlorine feeder in the beaver exhibit and PPG coatings in educational classrooms and new exhibits.

PPG and the Pittsburgh Zoo, two long-standing sound, and unique Pittsburgh institutions, share remarkably similar missions. These priorities include developing educational opportunities, ensuring services are accessible to all members of the community, and enhancing the region's value.
