Management Systems - ISO 14001
As described in the PPG EHS Policy, PPG is committed to continual improvement, prevention of pollution, and compliance with applicable legal requirements at PPG facilities.
Every manufacturing facility has an environmental management system to support this commitment as outlined in PPG’s EHS Process. Forty-four of PPG’s facilities are certified to the ISO14001:2004 standard. While some facilities sought certification to meet customer requirements, other facilities achieved certification to validate their environmental management system.
ISO14001:2004 is an International Standard that specifies requirements for an environmental management system to enable an organization to develop and implement policies and objectives, taking into account legal requirements and information about significant environmental aspects.
