These transparencies combine glass toughness with polycarbonate impact resistance and acrylic scratch resistance, offering lightweight durability, proven reliability and reduced life-cycle costs.
- The main windshield is a composite laminate that combines the toughness and chemical resistance of glass with the high impact resistance and strength-to-weight ratio of polycarbonate, along with a stretched-acrylic inboard ply for scratch resistance, resulting in a lightweight and durable design.
- PPG is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), supplying the latest design configurations with approvals recognized by worldwide aviation authorities, ensuring proven reliability. Replacement cockpit and passenger-cabin windows are constructed with stretched-acrylic plies, offering lightweight construction and proven reliability.
