Video: Revisiting our first Colorful Communities project in China

In 2015, PPG’s COLORFUL COMMUNITIES® program launched globally, giving each region an opportunity to bring color and joy to their local communities. From Japan to Australia and Singapore, the program has reached far and wide after it kicked off in the Asia Pacific region at the Nansha Primary School in Zhangjiagang, China.

Over the past 10 years, PPG employee volunteers completed several projects at the school, hosted workshops for students, donated supplies and formed a partnership for lasting impact on the education and lives of students.

“Ten years ago volunteers from PPG’s Colorful Communities program arrived. They not only gave our campus a fresh, vibrant new look, but they also painted the colors of childhood into the children’s hearts,” said Shiqiang Min, former principal and party secretary, Nansha Primary School.

Look back on the Colorful Communities program at Nansha Primary School and hear from the school’s leaders and PPG employee volunteers on their fond memories and inspirational moments.
