Innovative powder coatings that perform as well as they look.

A breakthrough in architectural metal protection, CORAFLON Platinum powder is a premium architectural-grade coating that meets or exceeds rigorous FGIA/AAMA 2605 performance specifications for exceptional weathering performance. It is engineered for curtain walls, storefronts, architectural extrusions, plate/brake metal and other monumental applications that require the industry’s highest level of protection.  This best-in-class solution is backed by more than 10 years of test data in Florida and boasts a high transfer efficiency rate that is 20% higher than other powders in this class.

A new study of competing coatings demonstrates PPG CORAFLON® Platinum powder is in a class of its own.

In comparison to other hyper-durable products on the market, PPG Coraflon Platinum exhibited twenty times the color retention of competing products. New data indicates that Coraflon Platinum powder maintains its performance significantly at the five-year mark when competing architectural powder coatings show a notable decline in color stability.

Coraflon Platinum premium architectural-grade powder coatings were designed with color fastness and longevity in mind.

Color that lasts beyond the specification

Five-year South Florida exposure: PPG Coraflon Platinum powder versus a rival hyper-durable brand. Coraflon Platinum powder demonstrated stability with minimal color and gloss change.

Twelve-year South Florida exposure: PPG Coraflon Platinum powder not only performed comfortably within the criteria for FGIA/AAMA 2605 specification, but also maintained exceptional stability and performance well beyond the ten-year benchmark.

*All tests performed by independent third-party laboratory using Section 8.9 of AAMA 2605 standards.

*Coraflon Platinum coatings are specifically formulated without TGIC, PFOA (Perfluorooctanoic acid), fluorosurfactants, VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), HAPs (Hazardous Air Pollutants), Living Building Challenge (LBC) Red List substances and are REACH compliant - Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs)
