PPG’s Architectural Coatings (AC) team in the United States and Canada (USCA), along with the PPG Science & Technology (S&T) team, began a partnership with City High Charter School (City High), a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania based charter school, in 2020. The program is led by Ted Novitsky, manager of product development, S&T, and sponsored by Jaime Irick, vice president, AC USCA and global Traffic Solutions, and the AC USCA leadership team.

As part of City High's 20th anniversary celebration, PPG was honored as a Promising Partner. During the celebration, Novitsky accepted the award on behalf of the AC USCA and S&T teams.

“It was an honor to receive the Promising Partner award on behalf of PPG," said Novitsky. “To be able to be a part of such a wonderful organization and make an impact on the future generation of diverse and innovative leaders is a great feeling."

City High is a technology infused public school whose mission is to graduate students who are academically, technologically, personally, and socially prepared to succeed. The school is located across the street from PPG's headquarters building.

PPG has partnered with City High on several events the past two years including science fair judging, career day events and a classroom paint training activity.
