PPG volunteers enhanced the surroundings of students and community members at several COLORFUL COMMUNITIES® projects over March and April 2022. Through the transformative power of paint and color, our volunteers sought to beautify the spaces of their neighbors and community partners.
PPG volunteers create colorful transformations
At a recent project in China, Cathy Yan, PPG general manager, corporate and government affairs, Asia Pacific, said, “Today’s youth are the future and hope of our country, and their education is an important focus for PPG. We are committed to talent development for the next generation by creating a better educational environment for young people. In the future, we will bring Colorful Communities projects to more campuses as part of our mission of protecting and beautifying the world.”

PPG employee volunteers brightened a school in Jiangmen, Guangdong Province, China, using a color palette of lotus pink with accents of green, blue and orange. As the school prepared to celebrate its 60th anniversary this year, it was faced with broken facades on its dormitory building and gymnasium, as well as fallen walls. The Colorful Communities project refurbished the facilities to create a colorful and beautiful campus for the faculty and 1,200+ students to enjoy for the next 60 years and beyond.
