PPG’s commitment to STEM education continues to thrive in the United Kingdom and Denmark, most recently through initiatives that are inspiring students and teachers to explore STEM to boost their learning, creativity and imagination.
In Denmark, 60 students recently spent the day at our architectural coatings plant in Soborg as part of the popular Science Day. During this event, businesses, schools, libraries, museums and other organizations opened their doors to students to shine a spotlight on STEM-related career paths. At our Soborg site, students jumped right in, engaging in hands-on workshops that introduced them to unexpected STEM opportunities in coatings manufacturing, production and even sustainability.
“We love to support projects like these that open children's eyes and make them curious about future possibilities, especially those within STEM subjects such as robotics and research,” said Torben Beck, PPG general manager, Denmark.
