Senior Vice President, Performance Coatings segment
Chancey Hagerty is senior vice president, Performance Coatings segment for PPG. In this role, he leads the global automotive refinish coatings business in addition to oversight of the aerospace, protective and marine coatings and traffic solutions businesses. He also maintains executive oversight accountability for the APAC and ANZ regions. He has been a member of PPG’s operating committee since January 2019.
Hagerty began his career with PPG in 1996 at the chemical plant in Natrium, W.Va., and transitioned to a plant engineer role at PPG’s Springdale, Pa., manufacturing facility two years later before moving into an industrial coatings sales position. In the years that followed, he went on to hold high-level operational, marketing and commercial roles in PPG’s industrial coatings and automotive OEM coatings businesses, including serving as the business director for building products, consumer electronics and transportation coatings.
He relocated to Rolle, Switzerland, in 2015 to serve as the industrial coatings general manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa. He returned to the Pittsburgh, Pa., area in 2019 when he was elected as vice president, global industrial coatings, and then was appointed as vice president, global automotive refinish coatings in 2020. He previously served as senior vice president, global automotive refinish coatings and aerospace.
A native of Pittsburgh, Hagerty earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from West Virginia University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
