D8595 | Epoxy Primer

D8595 is a multi-mode 2K Epoxy Surfacer. It is light grey in colour, chromate-free and has good corrosion resistance over bare metal. D8595 has good adhesion to a wide variety of suitably prepared substrates. These include bare and galvanised steel, aluminium, painted surfaces and fillers. Performance Hardener D8294 gives warranty capability as a sanding filler.

Product Details

PPG introduces D8595, a 2K epoxy primer. It offers easy sanding and an exceptional finish, with no mapping or pinholing.

The anti-corrosion properties of the new epoxy primer allow bodyshops to meet stringent requirements, particularly for warranty repairs and standard OEM replacement parts.

The easy application of D8595 enables the refinisher to achieve a smooth surface free from orange peel, making sanding much easier than with other epoxy primers. The new primer is also highly versatile: D8595 can be used across many different systems and repairs while maintaining the same high productivity. Users can apply D8595 as a sanding filler primer, wet-on-wet, or as an isolator.

The many uses of the primer give users flexibility, which can be increased further by using dedicated thinners and one of the hardeners; standard – D8298 or performance – D8294, to ensure a long pot life, up to 8 hours. The new epoxy primer will meet the demands of any repair.

D8595 provides excellent adhesion and corrosion resistance on many substrates, including galvanised steel, aluminium, painted surfaces and fillers, even when repairing/restoring older vehicles.
