Iron/Epoxy High Loss Stock

PPG C-RAM^® RGD is a series of rigid iron filled epoxy sheet material with high magnetic loss. It is available in several grades, as shown in the table below, having a range of complex permittivities and complex permeabilities.

The material has good thermal conductivity and can be used to dissipate heat.

PPG C-RAM KR is the two component liquid resin version of the PPG C-RAM RGD. It can be mixed, poured and cast into molds or cavities; when cured, it will have the properties of the PPG C-RAM RGD. See PPG C-RAM KR data sheet.

A non-rusting version of the PPG C-RAM RGD material is available in one grade only, denoted RGD-IS-115.

Standard sheet size for all grades is 12 in. x 12 in. (305 x 305 mm), available in several standard thicknesses from 0.125 to 3.0 inches.

PPG C-RAM RGD is also available in rods and bars with thickness up to 3 inches.

PPG C-RAM RGD can be supplied in other sizes, thickness or per customer specified configurations upon request.

The sheets are normally supplied “as cast”, by default or it can be supplied precision machined to thickness for an extra charge.
