PPG Coatings Services’ Cedar Falls, Iowa plant was established in 1995 to serve agricultural markets in Iowa and Illinois. Located in the northeast quadrant of Iowa, in the Cedar Valley metro area, the plant features easy access from U.S. interstates 380, 80 and 35.

Capabilities:

The Cedar Falls facility contains 96,000 square-feet of production space and 18 shipping and receiving docks. An industry trailblazer for high-quality coating of parts as large as 2,500 pounds, the plant loads and ships enough product to fill 130 to 150 semi-trucks every day while maintaining an average turnaround time of 24 hours. Conveniently located near major highways, the Cedar Falls plant offers direct shipments to OEMs worldwide, enabling logistical cost-savings and just-in-time (JIT) management.

Environmentally Friendly

The Cedar Falls facility utilizes “heavy-metal-free” cathodic, epoxy electrocoat material with low VOCs and HAPS. A state-of-the-art wastewater treatment system assures compliance with all environmental regulations.

Accountability

The plant is equipped with the MetoKote Inventory Tracking System (MITS2), which provides immediate “real time” data on the status of parts being coated. The facility also offers full EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) capabilities.
