Corrosion protection

Industrial pipeline with heat-resistant coating for corrosion under insulation protection

Coatings that combat corrosion under insulation

PPG offers innovative solutions that resist corrosion under insulation (CUI), offering unparalleled asset protection, surface safety and operational efficiency. Engineered for the rigorous demands of the oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical and infrastructure sectors, our coatings withstand the extreme thermal cycling of plants and refineries to prevent cracking and delamination.

Preserving coating integrity

On tanks, pipelines and vessels, heat resistance is essential to prevent coating cracks that can allow moisture to reach insulated steel and lead to CUI. Our heat-resistant coatings are designed to operate in extreme temperature conditions where pipes and other assets are exposed to process temperatures ranging from –196°C to 650°C (-321°F to 1,200°F).
