PPG's Sigmashield™ family of products have been trusted in marine and offshore environments for more than 35 years. PPG Sigmashield™ 880 is a high-solids, polyamine adduct-cured epoxy coating that offers outstanding seawater resistance, excellent corrosion resistance and enhanced impact and abrasion resistance for marine vessels, platforms, jetties and piers.
PPG Sigmashield™ 880 solution is a surface tolerant coating that can be rapidly immersed and continues to cure after seawater immersion, making it an ideal solution for both maintenance and repair and new construction projects. It delivers high film thickness in one coat to minimize downtime for marine assets.
Fast-drying, single-coat system
PPG Sigmashield™ 880 coating offers fast dry times for efficient coating and dry dock operations. The single-coat system provides both long-term protection and aesthetic performance in a range of multiple colors. It will tolerate immersion or ponding water exposure 30 minutes after application and continue to cure underwater. It can also cure at temperatures as low as 23°F (-5°C).
