D8501, D8505, D8507 DP4000 2K Primers
DP4000 2K Primers are developed using the latest priming technology and, when used in combination with Envirobase High Performance basecoats and Deltron Progress UHS topcoats, can optimise the priming process in practice. They are designed to deliver a high-quality final finish comparable to sandable primers, but without the need to sand before or after application. Excellent application properties, very smooth flow and levelling, and outstanding surface hold-out are the key pillars of this product’s performance.
Thanks to exceptional adhesion characteristics that allow you to eliminate sanding of OEM electrocoated (E-coat) substrates during surface preparation, DP4000 enables a very fast priming process for new parts. The DP4000 primer can be overcoated directly as soon as 15 minutes or up to 5 days after application, without the need to sand. This makes it possible to prime new parts ahead of time in batches with minimal preparation. The new parts can then be stored and ready for topcoating at the same time as the remaining sections of the vehicle.
E-coat surfaces damaged by minor scratches, as well as deeper scratches reaching down to the substrate, do not need to be treated with a coat of reactive primer before applying DP4000. The product’s strong adhesion and anti-corrosion properties make it possible to eliminate this step.
