In 2024, PPG unveiled the Sustainability CO2NCEPT™, a comprehensive system designed to help body shops reduce energy consumption, waste, and greenhouse gas emissions throughout the automotive repair process. This initiative integrates energy-efficient products, cutting-edge digital tools, and optimized repair processes to drive both environmental and financial benefits.
Key components include:
- Energy-Efficient Products: Air-drying primers and clearcoats that can reduce energy consumption by up to 65% compared to traditional oven-cured coatings.
- Digital Tools: The PPG LINQ™ end-to-end digital ecosystem and MOONWALK® automated paint mixing system enhance efficiency and reduce material waste.
