Career Preparation in China
PPG has held a long-term partnership with Live2Give in China, funding a training program for university students preparing for the workforce. The students recently completed the spring semester training courses at 21 universities across China.
Also in China, the PPG “Develop Your Career Intelligence” program, launched in 2015 with the non-profit Career Intelligence, has helped over 20,000 Chinese college students build career skills while supporting future talent development. The program partners with leading universities, even reaching remote areas. In spring 2025 alone, it offered 21 courses to 2,100+ students.
Universiada in Wroclaw, Poland
PPG recently announced the winners of the third edition of Universiada, a STEM education competition that promotes science among primary school students. Funded with a grant from PPG, the program is carried out in partnership with the Association of Chemical Industry Engineers and Technicians and the University of Wrocław. Students ages 10-14 worked in teams of five on a chemistry project. Then, the finalists presented their work to a jury of industry and academics experts at the University of Wrocław.
VědaFest in Czechia, Prague
At VědaFest 2025, science took center stage as PPG was the main partner of the Czech Republic’s largest open-air science festival. With this year’s theme, Life with Science, we brought the science of color to life through interactive demonstrations, hands-on experiments, and engaging conversations that inspired students, educators and curious minds.
Euler Course in Lausanne, Switzerland
Students with a passion for mathematics have the opportunity to explore the subject well beyond the school curriculum through the Euler Course, an accelerated math program for junior and high-school students. Though the EPFL organization’s Ignite Talent initiatives, a PPG grant supported the course to inspire curiosity in STEM fields. This spring, 19 students (out of 130 currently enrolled) completed the course.
STEM Talent Girl in Valladolid, Valencia and Madrid, Spain
For over five years, PPG has supported the STEM Talent Girl program, an educational initiative by the ASTI Foundation that empowers young women in Spain to explore careers in STEM. Recently, this year’s program held its closing ceremonies across multiple locations, including PPG’s Valladolid, Spain plant. The STEM Talent Girl program aims to inspire students by providing mentorship and creating a strong network of future female STEM leaders. Over the past year, several female PPG employees served as mentors to the young women in the program.
Junior Achievement in Brazil
In Brazil, PPG employee volunteers provide ongoing support to our longtime partner, Junior Achievement.
One initiative, Job Shadow for a Day, gives young students the opportunity to experience the daily routine of a professional in their area of interest. During their visit to PPG’s facilities, 20 students attended presentations from different departments and had the chance to ask questions directly to professionals.
Another Junior Achievement program, Building Your Career, provides information in an online game about high-demand STEM professions and guidance on how students can start preparing for these careers while still in school.
PPG also supported Junior Achievement’s Sustainable Business program. This course introduces and develops key concepts related to sustainable development and sustainability, including sustainable entrepreneurship, circular economy, and conscious consumption—essential for raising young people's awareness about the future of the planet
