PPG's Marine team makes waves at SMM 2026

The PPG Marine Coatings team returned from Hamburg after a successful week at SMM 2026, one of the maritime industry's bigger events. The exhibition provided an excellent opportunity to connect with customers, showcase our latest innovations and reinforce PPG's position as a trusted partner for vessel efficiency and performance.  

Showcasing our 360° vessel-efficiency approach  

Throughout the week, visitors to the PPG booth learned how our 360° vessel-efficiency approach helps customers optimize vessel performance through a combination of advanced hull coatings, onboard maintenance, electrostatic application (ESTA), digital tools, technical expertise and global support.  

Launching PPG ONE RANGE ™ coating portfolio  

A major highlight of SMM was the launch of PPG ONE RANGE, our new seastock coating range.  

Designed to simplify coating selection and application, PPG ONE RANGE offers customers a one component coating portfolio backed by the quality, performance and support they expect from PPG. The launch attracted attention from customers and industry stakeholders, further strengthening our position in the marine coating market.  

Innovation in the spotlight  

In addition to the launch of PPG ONE RANGE, visitors showed strong interest in several of our key solutions and services. PPG ESTA, PPG InsightsNav, PPG PowerPack™. PPG PowerPack is our latest innovation which is an automated brush and roller system designed for onboard maintenance. All products received positive attention throughout the event and created conversations about how PPG is helping customers with beyond-the-can innovations.

PPG's expertise was also featured in industry media. Kahina Ouchaou, Global Product Manager, Immersion, spoke with Greg Trauthwein of MarineLink.  

During the interview, Kahina highlighted how PPG ONE RANGE helps simplify coating selection and support customers with a streamlined, high-performance sea stock offering. She also demonstrated PPG InsightsNav, showcasing how digital insights and vessel performance data can help customers make informed decisions to improve efficiency and optimize operations.

This week also featured a successful booth reception that brought together customers and partners in an informal setting. The gathering provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen relationships, exchange insights and recognize the value of our partnerships.
