PPG NOVAGUARD™ 840 is a two-component, solvent-free amine-cured novolac phenolic epoxy coating. It is suitable for heavy hydrogen sulfide wastewater environments and offers good chemical resistance to a wide range of chemicals and solvents, including excellent crude oil resistance up to 120°C (250°F). Benefits include reduced explosion risk and fire hazard, good visibility in tanks, and suitability for unleaded gasoline storage. It has jet fuels approvals along the EI 1541 2.2, meets NSF/ANSI Standard 61 requirements for potable water and complies with FDA 21 CFR 175.300 criteria for food contact.
