Carbon fiber mesh for use as a reinforcement scrim in the PPG PITT-CHAR epoxy intumescent passive fire protection systems
- Black woven mesh comprising 6K carbon fibers orientated at 0°C and 90°C incorporating a polyester stitching yarn.
- High temperature resistance, suitable for hydrocarbon fire protection.
- Simple to cut and apply into wet film of coating; no welded pins or mechanical fixings required.
- Light weight and easy to handle and install on complex structures.
- To be installed strictly in accordance with PPG PITT-CHAR Application Guidelines and fire certification requirements
