Two-component, high-build, heat-resistant epoxy phenol novolac coating

  • No post-curing is required to obtain mechanical strength

PPG SIGMATHERM™ 230 is a two-component, high-build, heat-resistant novolac phenolic epoxy coating. It provides a corrosion-resistant barrier on carbon steel and stainless steel under thermal insulation, and is suitable for temperatures up to 230°C (450°F). It is also effective in cryogenic conditions, passing cyclic tests down to -196°C (-321°F). This coating offers excellent protection against corrosion and severe chemicals, and excellent resistance to thermal shock during rapid wet and dry cycling.
